Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Freshers' Debate with the topic, "This House would ban beauty pageants." On the proposition side we had Furqaan and Luke, while on the opposition side we had Indi and Neha. The arguments were vast and plentiful, with floor speeches given by several members of the audience.
The audience voted the opposition the winners of the debate, with Max from the audience winning this year's floor speech prize, a "cheap" bottle of wine! Afterwards the audience asked the committee members questions about the society, followed by everyone going to The Slug and Lettuce for some drinks and talk time!
We'll see you on Monday at 6:30pm in room 1.13 of the Franklin-Wilkins Building for the first meeting! |

The first KCL Debating Society meeting is on Monday 5th October, 1.13 FWB, 6.30pm.
FWB stands for "Franklin-Wilkins Building," located on the Waterloo Campus. 1.13 is one level above the ground floor, so when walking up the first set of stairs to the first floor, turn left to go down the corridor, and room 1.13 should be to your right. You will require your KCL student ID to get in, so don't forget to bring it with you!
