Our first public debate of the year will see a team from the Debating Society take on a Law Society team on the motion 'This House Would Ban Beauty Pageants' - a subject has been brought to the forefront of students minds over the last year due to the repeated objections to the Miss University London competition.

Come along and watch what I am sure will be a highly entertaining debate.

The debate is specifically designed to give students new to debating an opportunity to witness the British Parliamentary debate format for the first time and there will be plenty of time after the debate to speak to both committee members and the speakers.

KCL Debating Society will be speaking in favor of the motion and the Law Society will be opposing.
